PHNOM PENH: Cambodia and Singapore U-23s will meet on September 27 in a friendly as both the teams prepare for the SEA Games in December.
Singapore recently lost to China on penalties in a friendly while this would be the first test for Scott O’Donell’s side.
“We need more international games and we need the players to get used to higher intensity football against better players and better teams.
That is the only way they are going to improve,” O’Donell (pictured) told www.the-afc.com after his re-appointment in June this year.
“I will do my best with what time we have before the SEA Games and we will try and prepare as well as we can to ensure we do our best in Laos,” said the 41-year-old.
The football tournament at the 25th SEA Games will be held in Vientiane from December 3 to December 17. Click to original source...
