Villarreal midfielder Marcos Senna will be out of action for up to three weeks after suffering a recurrence of a muscle injury during Spain's 3-0 World Cup win over Estonia on Wednesday, the club said Friday.
The Brazilian-born Spanish international left the pitch during Villarreal's 1-1 draw with Osasuna in their opening match of the season on August 30 because of the injury in his left leg.
The 33-year-old was left out of Spain's 5-0 win over Belgium in a World Cup qualifier on September 5, but played the entire 90 minutes of the match against Estonia. Click to read more...
